A Classic Period Acoma Manta. Two embroidered bands of stepped pyramids in red ; flank a diagonal twill weave body, with end bands in a diamond twill, a chainlink border on all four sides and tufted corner tassels. Woven of native handspun wool with indigo and cochineal dye.
This blanket has been mounted on a stretcher for wall display (it can be removed without compromising the textile).
