Built by hand from native clay by an American Indian potter at Acoma Pueblo and expertly hand-painted with slip glazes in a sophisticated composition comprised of stylized botanical and geometric elements. Acoma Pueblo is located in New Mexico approximately 60 miles west of Albuquerque.

Jars, or Ollas, such as this were used for carrying water.
