This vest, which was likely made around 1880 by a member of the Sioux tribe, is constructed of native tanned buffalo hide sinew-sewn and beaded. Pictorial elements include stylized American flags and tepees in green, red white-heart, blue, greasy yellow and white glass trade beads.
