Orientalist Study, pair of mythical Persian birds on a flowering branch, vintage art nouveau style oil painting on canvas. This painting is a mural study painted by John Edward Thompson for a project commissioned for the John Leopold Brodie house in Buffalo, New York. Thompson's sister, Eleanore, was married to the inventor, John Leopold Brodie and Thompson painted six murals with persian themes, each ten feet high, in their home. Presented in a custom frame, outer dimensions measure 19 ½ x 23 ½ x 1 ½ inches. Image size is 14 x 18 inches.
Letter of Authenticity from the representative of Thompson's estate is included with purchase.
