Born in Detroit, Michigan, in 1925, Ruth Wahl (Ruth Zachmann, Ruth Zachmann Wahl) studied art in England under Pawel Kontny and Wassily Sommer. She also studied at the University of Texas and the University of Colorado at Boulder (CU). In 1971, she settled permanently in Littleton, Colorado where she actively exhibited her work.
