Drypoint etching with a view of Florence from Monte Oliveto with a large tree in the foregroud, the Duomo and Florence in the middle ground and the Tuscan hillside and clouds in the background. Signed and titled in pencil by the artist. This image is from a sketch Burr made while traveling in Europe between 1896-1901. He created the etchings in his studio following his return to the United States. Most date to circa 1905, Burr continued to create engravings of his sketches until circa 1930.
