Northwest

The Northwest Coast includes the Inside Passage portion of Canada as well as Southeastern Alaska. It was home to cultures such as the Haida, Tlingit, Bella Coola, Bella Bella, Kwakiutl, Nootka, Skokomish, Makah, Chinook, and Eyak peoples. Rich in natural resources, the arts from this region are often complex and include Chilkat blankets, totem poles and other carvings, and shell beads and jewelry.
