Drypoint etching of rain falling on barges in the Thames river, warehouses and wharfs with St. Paul's Cathedral in the background. Signed in pencil by the artist, titled "Misty Day Pauls Wharf London" and numbered "/63" (edition of 63). This image is from a sketch Burr made while traveling in Europe between 1896-1901. He created the etchings in his studio following his return to the United States. Most date to circa 1905, Burr continued to create engravings of his sketches until circa 1930.
