Antique 19th century Plateau (Native American Indian) cornhusk bag, Intricately woven of cornhusk, hemp and yarn with geometric designs on each side. This bag was created by a Native American from the Plateau Peoples - The Plateau is a relatively small region that spans the Canadian border and includes parts of Montana, Idaho and Oregon. Tribes from this area include Wasco, Yakima, Umatilla, and Wishram.
