Vintage 1875-1900 antique Native American Shoshone traditional cradlebord. Meticulously constructed by hand in the late 19th century of native tanned hide, sinew-sewn and beaded with blue, red, yellow, green and white trade beads.
The Shoshone (Shoshoni) are part of the Great Basin/Transmontane culture group and inhabited a wide area including present-day Idaho, Nevada, Wyoming, Montana, Utah and portions of California.
