About the Artist
A native of Brooklyn, New York, Leo Garel studied at Parsons School of Design, the New York School of Fine and Applied Art and at the Art Students League under Vaclav Vytacil and George Grosz. Garel traveled to New Mexico in the 1940s and exhibited regularly in Taos in the 1940s and 1950s.
