About the Artist

Born to a line of renowned Pueblo potters, Priscilla Namingha Nampeyo learned the art of pottery at an early age from her mother, Rachel Namingha Nampeyo, and her great-grandmother, Nampeyo of Hano (1858-1942). She was also known by her Native American name, Own-ya-kwa-vi (Display of Clouds)
