About the Artist
Graduated from Denver University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in 1950. While at Denver University, she studied under Vance Kirkland. Chenoweth went on to earn a Master of Fine Arts degree from the University of Illinois. Following her return to Colorado, she taught at the Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center (formerly the Broadmoor Academy). Chenoweth later joined the faculty at Colorado College where she served as an art professor for three decades. Chenoweth worked in a variety of mediums including sculpture, painting, drawing and printmaking. She carved a set of doors for the Colorado College Bemis Art School.
