Born in Davenport, Iowa, Patti Cramer studied at Stephens College, the University of Arizona and in Florence, Italy. A longtime resident of Denver, Colorado, she taught art art, worked at the Children's Museum and at Westword Magazine until 1983 when she opted to work full-time as an artist.
