Titled "The Shining Angel of Remembrance", the painting depicts a couple beneath a night sky with an angel floating above them among the clouds. Artist Biography - Albert Byron Olson

Born in Montrose, Colorado in 1885, Albert Olson moved to Denver in 1902. He studied art at the Students School of Art under Henry Read. He attended at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts from 1907-1913 where he received the Thouron Prize for composition. He went on to travel and study in Europe before returning to Denver where he instructed in composition at the Denver School of the Fine Arts. He is known for his watercolor and oil paintings.
