A variant of a First Phase Chief's Pattern, circa 1850. The design is composed of four rows of cabled diamonds in blue on a red field against a classic natural brown and ivory banded ground. Native handspun wool with indigo & raveled bayeta (mixture of cochineal and lac dye).
