Artist Biography - Daniel Gelakoska

Clarence Daniel Gelakoska (Clarence Daniel Gelakoska) was born in Grand Haven, Michigan in 1945. He graduated from the Kendall School of Design in Grand Rapids, Michigan in 1968 and relocated to Denver, Colorado in 1973. While largely self-employed for much of his career, he continually pursued artistic opportunities by attending local events and classes at Metropolitan State. He also participated in several art exhibitions and festivals across the country, ranging from cities like Los Angeles, California, to Aspen, Colorado, to New York City, New York. During his lifetime, his favored mediums were silk screening and paper embossing, though he was experienced in many aspects of art and design. He passed away in Denver, Colorado in 2015.
