Artist Biography - Eula Ray
Born in Savannah, Georgia in 1903, Eula Ray (Eula Jones, Eula Lord) studied art in Washington, D.C. She relocated to Denver, Colorado in the late 1920s and established a studio where she worked primarily as a portrait artist. During her time in Denver, she became a founding member of the Denver Artists Guild and painted several landscapes of Colorado including views of Roxborough Park and Red Rocks Park. She returned to Georgia in the late 1940s and later became a member of the Taos Artists Association.
